UCR Basic Needs Night

UCR Basic Needs Night!

Raising awareness for Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week and beyond!

Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is an annual program where people come together across the country to draw attention to the problems of hunger and homelessness. Each year, typically the week before Thanksgiving. This observance, from November 16–24, 2026, creates vital awareness about food insecurity and lack of shelter. Join local drives, volunteer at a shelter, or donate to support those in need.

Why Donate to FARSB?

At Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino (FARSB), we believe that everyone deserves access to nutritious food. With over 684,000 people in our community facing food insecurity, including children, seniors, and veterans, the need for support has never been greater. Your donation can make a direct impact by providing meals to those who need them most.

Every dollar you give helps us source and distribute nutrious food to local families, ensuring no one goes to bed hungry. With the support of generous donors like you, we can deliver food kits to homebound individuals, provide fresh produce through our Grab n' Go program, and support numerous other initiatives that fight hunger across our region. Together, we can create a community where no one has to worry about where their next meal is coming from!

Here’s what your impact can look like:

  • $10 helps provide up to 40 meals*
  • $25 helps provide up to 100 meals
  • $50 helps provide up to 200 meals
  • $100 helps provide up to 400 meals

*With a minimum $10 donation, you will receive a promo code for a pair of discounted tickets to UCR Men's Basketball first game of the season on Monday, November 2, 2026. The promo code will be emailed to you after your donation*

Together, we can turn game-day excitement into a winning play against hunger for neighbors in our community!
